10 East Jakarta Sudinhub Operational Cars Deployed to Transport COVID-19 Patients

Agencies under Jakarta Government work together in handling surge in COVID-19 cases in the last few days. This time, 10 East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub)'s Operational Service Vehicles (KDOs) were used to transport COVID-19 patients to referral hospitals and controlled isolation locations.

It is ready to use for transporting COVID-19 patients when all ambulances are used

East Jakarta Sudinhub's Monitoring and Controlling Section Head, Riky Erwinda conveyed, 10 KDOs which stationed in 10 sub-districts were temporarily used to take COVID-19 patients to referral hospitals and controlled isolation locations.

"It is ready to use for transporting COVID-19 patients when all ambulances are used. Our officers who drive KDOs will be equipped with hazmat suit," he explained, Tuesday (6/29)

There are several adjustments to KDOs used to transport the patients, one of which is to install barrier between driver and passengers.

"Hopefully it can help to optimize health services for residents in the midst of high COVID-19 cases," he said.
